Perl & CGI för webben

My first book about Perl. This book starts at the truly basic level, taking the reader through the first stumbling steps of acquiring and installing Perl in various environments and then through writing the mandatory "Hello World" program on to creating CGI-scripts from scratch and based on the very helpful perl-module CGI.pm.

Title: Perl & CGI för webben
Author: Elizabeth Castro
Publisher: Libris Media Data
ISBN: 91-88948-28-5

Due to its basic nature, it covers a lot of related topics that most intermediate users can skip over (such as installing a web server, basic Unix commands, working with files and directories and so on).

The book is very practical, guiding the user through the basics of Perl using examples and exercises.

This was a pretty good start I think. The pace of the book is very moderate, and new features of Perl show up in a logical way. However, the layout and page structure of the book is quite confusing, and gets annoying after a while.
